Editorial Policy
Worldys News operates under a strict editorial framework designed to protect accuracy, neutrality, and public trust. This Editorial Policy summarizes the principles that govern what we publish and how editorial decisions are made.
1. Independence and Editorial Control
All editorial decisions are made by the newsroom without interference from governments, advertisers, corporate interests, or political actors. Content is not influenced by financial relationships, lobbying efforts, or external pressure. Editorial authority resides with the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor as identified on our Editorial Team page.
2. Truth, Verification, and Sourcing
Every article must be based on verifiable evidence, documented sourcing, or reliable expert validation. Claims are checked before publication according to our Fact-Checking Policy. Information that cannot be substantiated is withheld until confirmation is obtained.
3. Clear Distinction Between Content Types
Worldys News maintains a visible and structural separation between:
- News reporting — factual and neutral
- Analysis — explanatory and labeled as “Analysis”
- Opinion — authored perspectives, labeled as “Opinion”
No opinion or commentary may be published under the appearance of neutral reporting.
4. Corrections and Accountability
When errors are identified, they are corrected transparently in accordance with our Corrections & Updates Policy. Factual integrity is prioritized over speed, branding, or audience interest.
5. Ethical Standards and Safety
Coverage involving minors, victims, medical information, or sensitive security contexts is handled with heightened editorial caution. We do not publish material that could cause preventable harm or violate ethical reporting norms.
6. Advertising Firewalls
Commercial relationships do not dictate editorial coverage. Paid material, when introduced, will be labeled and kept separate from independent journalism as outlined in our Advertising & Sponsorship Policy.
7. Compliance and Enforcement
All staff, contributors, and affiliates are bound by these standards. Violations may result in editorial rejection, retraction, or removal of content, and in professional consequences where appropriate.
