Kevin Spacey Says He Is Homeless and Broke Due to Legal Fees
Kevin Spacey Claims Homelessness Amid Legal Battles and Career Drought

Kevin Spacey revealed in a recent interview that he is currently homeless, attributing his situation to the significant legal costs and a lack of consistent work following numerous sexual misconduct allegations.

"I'm living in hotels, I'm living in Airbnbs," Spacey stated in an interview published by *The Telegraph* on Wednesday. "I'm going where the work is. I literally have no home, that's what I'm attempting to explain."

The two-time Oscar winner confirmed that his former home in Baltimore has been auctioned off, contributing to what he described as an "overall not great" financial picture. "The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical," Spacey added. "I've had very little coming in and everything going out."

Since 2017, Spacey has faced allegations of sexual misconduct from over a dozen men, all of which he has denied. In July 2023, a jury acquitted him of nine charges of sexual assault and other sexual offenses in London, following accusations from four men that dated back to between 2001 and 2013. Previously, in October 2022, he was found not liable in a civil lawsuit brought by actor Anthony Rapp, who alleged that Spacey had made unwanted sexual advances in 1986 when Rapp was a minor.

Despite the legal challenges, Spacey has taken on roles in several smaller productions by first-time filmmakers and has also performed a variety show in Cyprus. He expressed optimism about a potential career comeback, indicating that he is in contact with influential figures in the industry who are interested in re-engaging him.

"We are in touch with some extremely powerful people who want to put me back to work," Spacey said. "And that will happen in its right time. But I will also say what I think the industry seems to be waiting for is to be given permission — by someone who is in some position of enormous respect and authority."

Spacey hopes that a call from esteemed directors could pave the way for his return to mainstream cinema. "So, my feeling is if Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino call Evan [his manager, Evan Lowenstein] tomorrow, it will be over," he stated. "I will be incredibly honored and delighted when that level of talent picks up the phone."

The impact of these prolonged legal battles and public accusations extends beyond Spacey's personal life, raising broader questions about due process, rehabilitation, and the potential for redemption within the entertainment industry.
