Anti-Misinformation & Integrity Policy
This Anti-Misinformation & Integrity Policy establishes how Worldys News prevents, detects, and rejects misinformation, manipulated media, fabricated claims, and influence operations from entering our reporting or distribution environment.
1. Zero-Tolerance for False or Manipulated Content
Worldys News does not publish material that is fabricated, doctored, misattributed, or derived from unverifiable claims. Content is withheld until evidence is confirmed. Materials found to be falsified post-publication trigger review under the Corrections & Updates Policy.
2. Verification of Claims Before Publication
No assertion is published without sourcing that meets the standards defined in our Sourcing & Attribution Policy. Viral claims, leaks, screenshots, and social media posts are not treated as evidence without independent corroboration.
3. Detection of AI-Generated and Fabricated Material
Worldys News actively screens for AI-generated misinformation, synthetic images, deepfakes, cloned voices, and staged evidence. Questionable materials require secondary verification or are excluded from coverage. We do not rely on AI outputs as factual sources.
4. Protection Against Influence Operations
The newsroom rejects content that attempts to:
- Disseminate state-sponsored propaganda disguised as news
- Manipulate public opinion through covert narrative campaigns
- Plant false information for political, financial, or reputational gain
- Exploit breaking news cycles to inject disinformation
Coordinated manipulation attempts are documented and escalated.
5. Handling of Anonymous or High-Risk Sources
Anonymous claims are not publishable without internal verification and corroboration. Material provided by adversarial actors, conflict participants, or political entities is subject to heightened scrutiny and delay until neutrality and authenticity are established.
6. Labeling and Context for High-Uncertainty Stories
When covering events with incomplete information (e.g., early war reports, disasters, sealed cases), Worldys News labels uncertainty explicitly and avoids speculative phrasing. We do not “fill gaps” with inference or conjecture.
7. Post-Publication Integrity Controls
If new evidence contradicts previously published content, the report is re-audited and, if warranted, revised transparently in accordance with our Editorial Transparency Log. Retractions are issued when reliability cannot be restored.
8. Enforcement & Staff Obligation
Every editor, reporter, and contributor is individually responsible for preventing misinformation from entering publication. Violations or concealed manipulations may result in permanent removal of content and termination of association with Worldys News.
