Ethics & Conduct Compliance Statement
This Ethics & Conduct Compliance Statement affirms the commitment of Worldys News to uphold principled, non-partisan, and accountable journalism across all operations, from newsgathering to publication and post-publication review.
1. Public-Interest Mission
Worldys News exists to inform the public with evidence-based journalism that serves civic understanding, not private agendas. Reporting decisions prioritize accuracy, relevance, and public accountability over traffic, political pressure, or commercial interest.
2. Non-Interference Rule
No government, corporation, donor, advertiser, political entity, or individual may direct, modify, suppress, or pre-approve editorial content. Editorial authority resides solely within the newsroom under conditions defined in our Editorial Guidelines & Ethics Policy.
3. Truth and Verification Obligation
All published material must meet evidence standards outlined in our Fact-Checking Policy. Fabrication, manipulation, and unverified claims are categorically prohibited.
4. Protection Against Harm
Coverage involving vulnerable individuals, active security risks, minors, or trauma is handled with heightened caution. We do not publish information that foreseeably creates unnecessary harm or legal jeopardy when alternatives exist.
5. Integrity in Sourcing and Attribution
Sourcing follows the rules in our Sourcing & Attribution Policy. Anonymous sources require internal verification and cannot serve as sole evidence for major claims.
6. Financial and Political Neutrality
Worldys News does not accept funding or favors that create editorial dependency. Sponsored content, if introduced in future, will remain segregated under our Advertising & Sponsorship Policy and will never influence core reporting.
7. Accountability After Publication
When warranted, published content is revised or corrected according to our Corrections & Updates Policy and recorded in the Editorial Transparency Log. Appeals and disputes are handled through the Editorial Appeals process.
8. Enforcement
All editors, contributors, and staff are bound by these ethical standards. Violations may result in rejection of material, public correction, removal of privileges, or termination of relationship with Worldys News.
